This painting was started two years ago when many new buildings were being constructed in the Vauxhall area. This still continues. My eye was attracted to the scaffolding and the way all the buildings were juxtaposed against each other. All this I can see from my studio window in Battersea. Firstly I tried using oil paint but could never mix enough paint. So I reverted back to acrylic, a paint that I know well and dries quickly.
