This painting is part of a whole series of early non-referential paintings dealing
with process, control, chance and the purity of colour. The process of making
is meditative as many layers of colour are applied to reflect the feeling of something
unknown, something transcendental. I have created many different colour
permutations of this idea. It is the effect of complementary colours that fascinate
me the most.
